How to install your new desktop picture on windows95/98 ?a.
Download the picture according to your screensize 800x600 or send a e-mail to receive the 640x480.
- when you get weird characters on your screen then move your mouse on the link but instead of clicking on the link you; RIGHT CLICK and select "SAVE LINK AS.." !b.
Put your downloaded .JPG into your C:\WINDOWS\WEB\WALLPAPER directory.c.
Go to the "Display Properties"
- you can get there by START / SETTINGS / CONTROL PANEL / "Display" or:
- you can get there by right clicking on your desktop and select "Properties".d.
Go to the tab "WEB" and check if ´View my Active Desktop as a web page´ is selected. This makes it namely possible to use JPG pictures as wallpaper (background image).e.
Go to the tab "Background", click on "BROWSE" and select your SANDRA picture out of the C:\WINDOWS\WEB\WALLPAPER directory and press on "OPEN".
The image appears now in the wallpaper list, click on the name and press "Apply".
Your desktop background shows now your SANDRA picture !!!
